Our Committees

SOCIAL EVENTS
One of the most active committees in HYP. Responsible for organizing and executing all of HYP’s signature events from monthly UNWIND’s, to quarterly special events, to group outings and everything in-between. This committee is also responsible for launching the very successful “Power of One” initiative, collecting donated items for the Community Action House to help those in need in our community. You already attend the events, volunteer to make them happen! Meets monthly.

MEMBERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
Primary focus on retention and recruitment of members to HYP. This committee works closely with the Events and Marketing committees to promote HYP and connect with new members. This committee is currently working to define what it means to be a member of HYP and will be adding value to this with membership based incentives from local businesses, by creating an on-line membership directory, by offering member discounts on events, etc. How can you help? MARKETING/COMMUNICATIONS
Ever wonder who comes up with those catchy email blasts that lured you into that last UNWIND? Did you read about HYP in the paper or online? This is the committee that produces that message! This committee keeps the website content current, the email blasts breezy, creates marketing materials for events and hyp programs, and organizes publicity for HYP. Are you imaginative and organized? Do you love deadlines like your grandmother’s prized spaghetti sauce? They do too, so what are you waiting for? Meets monthly.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Have some great ideas on how HYP can help develop new professionals like yourself? Fine tune your skill set and gain valuable information on industry trends and activities by participating on this committee. This group brings you the legendary “e2e” series (by partnering with Lakeshore Advantage), the “Inside HYP” series (taking you behind the scenes at area businesses), and our new Mentoring Program (connecting HYP members with area business professionals). Help mold HYP’s professional development activities by volunteering now. Meets monthly.

FUND DEVELOPMENT
The fund development committee identifies and engages organizations that wish to partner with HYP by providing services, and/or donations, (monetary or promotional materials) to be used as give-aways or sponsorships. Meets as needed.
