Doug Ruch is the President & CEO of the Holland firm, The Fleetwood Group, Inc., a 100 % employee owned company.  Fleetwood Group designs, manufactures, and markets furniture and wireless electronics for learning and health care markets around the world.  Throughout its 54 year history, the company has endeavored to be “Christ-centered” as a result Fleetwood Group conducts business in many unique and unusual ways such as giving a generous portion of its profits to mission partners around the world and employing chaplain services to minister to the needs of its employee-owners.

In his talk, “Seeking a Calling”, Doug will share his journey in seeking to find his occupational “calling”.  He will discuss the challenges of building a career while striving to  align his work behavior with his beliefs.  Doug will also share his experiences in working to become an effective leader.

About Doug Ruch

Doug is a graduate of Hope College with an MBA from the University of Colorado.  Before joining Fleetwood Group, he held executive positions at the Donnelly Corportation (now Magna-Donnelly).  Doug began his business career with Procter and Gamble.  Doug and his wife Linda live in Zeeland and have three sons, Dustin (Whirlpool), Mitch (Hope College) and Bryant (Zeeland West).  The Ruch family happily added a daughter-in-law on 11/28/09.
