Inside HYP: Tuesday, November 24
Join us for lunch, conversation, and a brief volunteer activity
at the Kids' Food Basket Holland location.
Kids' Food Basket is a nonprofit that empowers communities to attach childhood hunger, and serves nearly 7,000 kids at 38 schools in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Holland. More than 240 volunteers each day help prepare, pack, and deliver Sack Suppers. Currently, over 8,000 children in Ottawa County are living in poverty and may not know where from, or if, they will receive their next dinner. Kids' Food Basket is able to help alleviate that by providing hundreds of kids at two Holland schools with the nutrition they need to learn and live well.
During lunch, we will hear from the Kids' Food Basket team about the important work that they do. Following lunch, we will all work together on a volunteer activity, packing Sack Suppers and giving back to this great community we call home.
Lunch will be generously provided by our friends at City Deli!
The event will last from 11:30 until 12:30/1pm.
This event is limited to the first 12 registrants, so sign up today! This is a great opportunity to network and learn more about a successful and expanding local nonprofit.
We hope to see you there!
