HYP Annual Grant Requirements

2024 Grant applications Are Open until March 13, 2024!

 


General Guidelines:

  • The grant nominee/applicant must be an active 501c3 non-profit organization.

  • Organizations must submit their proposed budget and proof of their non-profit status via the application or by emailing them as attachments to philanthropy@behyp.org.

  • Grant requests must fulfill the mission of The HYP Fund and align with the mission of HYP.

    • HYP Fund Mission: To support organizations that provide and encourage leadership development throughout the greater Holland/Zeeland area.

    • HYP Mission: To connect and develop young professionals to lead and impact our community.

  • Grant requests do not need to specifically target young professionals to be considered.

    • HYP seeks a variety of projects that encourage leadership in our community, though applications that benefit youth and young professionals are highly encouraged.

  • Grant applications will be accepted until March 13, 2024.

  • Grant awards will be announced in April 2024.

 

AWARD PROCEDURE:

Applications will be reviewed in detail by the Philanthropy Committee and HYP Board of Directors and the winners decided by majority vote. There are often 3 - 4 grant recipients annually. See Recent Grants.

HYP Grant awards are made once annually, averaging around $5,000, with individual funding in various amounts.

HYP’s Annual Grants are funded by distributions from our endowment at the Community Foundation of the Holland/Zeeland Area. This generosity is made possible by proceeds from a handful of annual events and ongoing Sponsorships.
